Our Core Values:
We believe in the Triune God and Scriptures:
- God is our King: God the Father is
the creator of heaven and earth and sovereign over creation.
- Jesus is our Savior: Jesus died on
the cross to redeem our sins and calls us together as his church to spread his
word and do his work.
- The Holy Spirit works within us: The
Holy Spirit moves us closer to the comfort of God the Father, Jesus and each
other to tie us together and inspires us into mission. The Holy Spirit
transforms and renews us to a higher purpose.
- The Scriptures of the Old and New
Testament: The Bible is the inspired word of God.
Goals and Objectives:
The Fellowship of the Believers
"They devoted themselves to the apostles'
teachings and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done
by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common.
Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every
day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in
their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and
enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily
those who were being saved." – Acts 2:42-47
The Six Great Ends of the Church
"The great ends of the church are the
proclamation of the gospel for the salvation of humankind; the shelter,
nurture and spiritual fellowship of the children of God; the maintenance of
divine worship; the preservation of the truth; the promotion of social
righteousness; and the exhibition of the Kingdom of Heaven to the world." –
Book of Order of the Presbyterian Church (USA): G-1.0200.
A Proportionate Giver:
A Proportionate Giver is someone who covenants with God to
give to the cause of the Kingdom, through the ministries of his Church, a
percentage of their income. By the daily study of God’s Word, by living
every day in companionship with the Risen Lord and through service to those
in need, a Proportionate Giver keeps his/her heart open to
increasing that percentage as Christ leads them to other opportunities to
give and serve and love.
