LIVING WATERS for the Yucatan could use your help in raising funds to supply clean water to the people of the Yucatan. NURSERY SUPERVISOR JOB OPENING:

FUPC has an immediate opening for a nursery supervisor. This is a part time position with work hours on Sunday mornings from 8:30 AM until 12 noon. Major responsibilities of the job include operating the nursery in a safe, loving and Christian manner, and teaching our curriculum to the children. Experience and a background in education are preferred. Interested applicants may submit their resumes electronically to children@fupcdc.org.

VBS 2010: The Parables:  July 26 – 30, 6 PM – 8 PM

Hello Vacation Bible School Participants! Welcome to VBS 2010: The Parables! We have such an exciting week planned for you. Here are some of the details:

Each night we will begin with prayer and dinner at 6 PM in the Triple Room. Monday’s theme/dinner menu is The Great Banquet/taco night, Tuesday is The Prodigal Son/hot dog night, Wednesday is The Good Samaritan/breakfast for dinner night, Thursday is The Sower and the Seeds/pizza night. Friday is a little different. You may attend the final Parable lesson or go to game night with the children. The dinner is a pot luck and we need all participants to bring a dish to share. Last names starting with the letters A-M please bring an entree or side dish and last names starting with the letters N-Z please bring a dessert. We need everyone to arrive by 5:40 PM with their food so that we have time to set up! Clean up begins at 6:30PM each night. We need to leave the kitchen and Triple Room exactly as we found it. Everyone can help by cleaning up their own plates and eating area.

At 6:45 we will meet in the Sanctuary to begin the evening lessons with prayer and a song. If you are not joining us for dinner, you will want to be here by 6:45. At 7 PM the children will be taken to their classes and the adults will enjoy their lesson lead by Pastor Bob. Our youth participants will either be helping with the children or attending the lesson with the adults.

The program will finish at 8PM each night. Nursery services for children under age 3 are available starting at 6 PM each evening. A lot of work has been put into this year’s VBS program. Please enjoy yourselves and have a blessed week!
